Termtime’s Guide To The Easter Holidays

The Easter holidays can sometimes seem like a bit of a drag. The weather isn’t warm enough to go out or do outdoor activities. And then there’s that dark cloud over your head, reminding you that its exam time when you go back to school.

So, to take your mind off all of this and to help you have a pretty good Easter break Termtime has come up with a list of ’10 Things To Do Over The Easter Holidays’. You may already be taking part in some of the suggested activities, however you could use the two weeks as an opportunity to try something different.

If you tried something new, you could let us know how it went, what you thought of it and whether you would do it again - a bit of undercover reporting! You could even make your own suggestions of things to do, just email us here or find us on Facebook, MySpace and Bebo - just look up ‘Term Time’ and we should be there!

The Termtime Guide To The Easter Holidays:

  • Grab your swimming stuff and head down to one of the local pools in your area. If you live near the coast, you could eve head down to the beach! Weather permitting that is! Look up your nearest swimming pool on the Public Swimming Pool Directory on http://www.touchlocal.com/
  • Film your own movie and send it into Termtime! You could write the script, chose the cast and film the movie! Or you could do your own version of a classic film - a bit like the movie ‘Be Kind Rewind’. If you think it is any good, you could enter it for a young filmmaker award.

For more information on this visit http://www.cinemagic.org.uk/filmmaker.asp. If you don’t fancy filming a movie, why don’t you record a dance or something funny and send it into Termtime! We will put it up on our website for everyone to see!

  • If the weather is nice, you could visit one of the theme parks around the UK! Scare yourself stupid on Nemesis at Alton Towers or try out the new Saw ride at Thorpe Park. There are loads of buses that run trips to all the theme parks in the UK. So, grab a group of mates and have a great day out. Don’t forget to send a photo into Termtime and we will put it up on the website!
