The England football team managed to beat Belarus 3-0 at Wembley last night, ending their World Cup qualifying campaign on a high.

A few England’s key players were injured meaning that manager Fabio Capello had to make a number of changes.

Tottenham striker Peter Crouch scored two goals and Shaun Wright-Phillips managed to hit the ball into the back of the net after a cross by David Beckham.

Beckham came on as a substitute at half time and was even named ‘man of the match’.

Crouch said afterwards: “It was very enjoyable. It is good to finish the qualifying campaign on a winning note at Wembley and take that into the World Cup. For me personally I was pleased to get a couple of goals.”
