England football captain, John Terry, has promised that his team will put on a fantastic performance tonight as a ‘thank you’ top fans for their support during the World Cup campaign.
England have already qualified for the next World Cup in South Africa, but still have to play their final game in their group at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Terry has promised that the players will do a lap of honour to show their appreciation to the supporters.
He said: “We’ll go around the pitch. We’d love to go out on a high note with a win, but we owe it to the fans to show our gratitude. Those fans travel all over the world. It adds up to an awful lot of money and the players really respect that,”.
The England captain says players can improve “another 20 or 30%” before next summer’s competition.
